Dr. Kultur graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School in 1996. She completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Department at Hacettepe University Medical School in 2002. She has been working in Hacettepe University Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department since 2002 to teach staff. She received the title of “Assistant professor” in 2006.
Dr. Kultur had done clinical work and research studies about attention deficit hyperactivity and related neuropsychiatric disorders in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department of the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto University, Toronto, Canada, for four months.
She attended “Fundamentals of Psychodynamic Psychiatry” training given by Prof. Dr. Leyla Zileli at Psikiyatri Asistanları ve Uzmanları Derneği between 1997-1999. She completed the “play therapy” course as a special student at Hacettepe University Social Sciences Institute, a Doctorate Program of Clinical Psychology given by Prof. Dr. Psychologist Ferhunde Oktem in 1998. She also completed a “Family Therapy” course at Ankara University Continuous Education Center in 2003.
She attended and completed fundamental levels of “Psychodramatic and Sociometric Techniques in Group Therapies” training program, which was organized by the Turkish Group Psychotherapy Association of the Dr. Abdulkadir Ozbek Psychodrama Institute, between 1998-2004.
She worked at the Association of Turkish Child and Youth Psychiatry as a member of the board of directors between 2004-2005.
Dr. Kultur was the recipient of the 2010 Prof. Dr. Mualla Ozturk Child Mental Health Award with other researchers of the Infant Mental Health Commission of Association of Turkish Child and Youth Psychiatry, with the project of “Determination of Turkey’s Early Childhood Period (1-3 years old) Mental Health Profile”, directed by Assistant Professor Dr. Koray Karabekiroglu.
Her professional interests include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, early childhood mental health and psychopathologies.
